We were born on the night when the wolf was born,
In the morning, under the roar of the lion, we were given names.
Our mothers nursed us in the eagles ' nests,
Our fathers taught us to tame horses in the clouds.
Our mothers gave birth to us for the people and the fatherland,
And at their call, we bravely stood up.
We grew up freely with the mountain eagles,
Difficulties and obstacles were proudly overcome.
Sooner will the granite rocks, like lead, melt,
Than the hordes of enemies will make us bow down!
Rather, the earth will burn in flames,
Than we will appear to the grave, having sold our honor!
We will never submit to anyone
Death or Freedom - we will achieve one of the two.
Sisters heal our wounds with their songs,
The eyes of the beloved are raised to military exploits.
If hunger suppresses us , we will gnaw the roots,
